Are you ready to look at the world from a different point of view? Or travel along a new path?

You want to make a difference with your life - and in the lives of those around you. But you aren't sure if conventional routes will get you there. Perhaps you're already feeling some pressure to go to college or get a job, or stay in the same old job you've had for many years. If you've got more questions than answers, you may need to change your world - see things from another perspective.

Through Mennonite Voluntary Service you can step off the beaten path for one to three years. You can serve others as you experience life with a group of people who care for each other and support each other. And you can give yourself time to see what God wants from you. MVS gives young adults - or older adults - an adventure in service, learning, and spiritual growth. Living in Christian community, you can:

  • Use your gifts to serve others
  • Test possible career interests
  • Participate in the life of a Mennonite congregation
  • Explore spiritual and social issues
  • Find some of the best friends you'll ever have
  • Experience life in a new and different way
  • Grow in your faith

Experience life to the fullest

Voluntary Service participants have served in medical clinics, tutored children, worked with senior citizens, repaired old housing, and helped meet the needs of poor people across North America. But that's not all. They've also visited new cities; experienced different people, foods and cultures; climbed mountains and camped in deserts; attended concerts, lectures and college events.

But the most memorable experiences often occur in the quiet moments: a conversation with a housemate, a friendship with a small child, working alongside other Christians, getting involved in a new congregation, or being alone with God.

To change your world, it just takes that first step: Apply today!

"For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ." 1 Cor. 3:11
